The PixaPro 161cm Photography C-Stand with Boom Arm & Caster Wheels is a special, robust, heavy-duty type of light stand that is widely used in both the filmmaking and photography industries. Made from Stainless Steel, C-stands are capable of holding heavy lighting fixtures such as light banks, strobes with large or heavy modifiers, as well as other accessories such as scrims and flags, etc. The 161cm photography C-stand were originally used in early days of cinema and were used to hold up large reflectors which reflected Sunlight to illuminate the set before the introduction of artificial lighting later.

Robust Stainless-Steel Construction: Stainless steel, with a shiny chrome finish, which makes it extremely strong, capable of taking loads of up to 10kg in weight. This makes them ideal for heavy light-fixtures used in TV and film productions, as well as in professional photographic studios.

Telescopic Central Column: Thick, sturdy two-sectioned telescopic central column, with a spring-loaded dampening system to absorb any sudden-drops, to reduce the risk of injury to yourself, or damage to your equipment. The central column can be extended, giving this c-stand a minimum-height of 71cm and a maximum height of 161cm.

20 Boom Arm: Detachable 20 boom arm with 2x 2.5 grip heads for added versatility. The photography C-stand with boom arm can be used to mount light fixtures, enabling them to be positioned above or below your subject.

Detachable Turtle-Base Design: Detachable-base which makes storage and transportation a lot easier. The base of the 161cm C-Stand features a 1-1/8 Junior-Pin receiver, which used together with the main central-column of the C-stand, or can be used with heavier light lighting fixtures that use the larger Junior pin connection such as Arri lights, enabling you to use the legs like a heavy-duty floor stand.

Varied Leg Height: Three nested legs with varying leg-heights, which enables you to position multiple c-stands really close together in a way that is not possible with regular light stands.

 

Caster Wheels

Cast-Iron Construction: The connector block section of the caster wheels is made from Cast Iron, making them extremely hard-wearing and durable.  

Rubber Wheels: Each of the 75mm caster wheels themselves, are made from a hard-wearing rubber material, which prevents the stand from skidding. The wheels are suitable for use on both carpet, and hard floors, making them highly versatile.

Lockable Brakes: Each of the caster wheels features independently lockable brakes, enabling you to lock the stand in place, preventing it from accidentally being moved out of position.
