How it works

Three Godox AD100Pro II 100Ws Pocket Flashes

The kit is built around three Godox AD100Pro II Pocket Flashes, each providing up to 100Ws of flash output in a compact battery-powered body. Using three separate heads gives you much greater control over the shape and direction of your lighting than relying on a single flash. You could use one as your main light, a second for fill and the third for rim, separation or background lighting. For location photography, this gives you considerably more freedom when deciding where each light needs to go.

40-inch translucent white umbrella

Firing the flash through the translucent material spreads and diffuses the light, making the umbrella useful as a main or fill source for portraits, headshots and event photography. Its collapsible construction also makes it particularly appropriate for a kit designed around portability.

Godox UB-002 40-inch black/silver umbrella

Rather than firing through the material, the flash is directed into the silver interior and reflected back towards the subject. The silver surface produces soft illumination while retaining a more specular quality, while the black exterior helps prevent unwanted light leakage.

Godox AK-R1 Round Head Accessory Kit

Rather than substantially increasing the apparent size of the light like an umbrella, the AK-R1 accessories attach to the AD100Pro II's magnetic round-head modifier mount and provide more targeted control. This makes the system particularly useful on the third flash. While two AD100Pro II units can work with the umbrellas, another can be configured as a more tightly controlled rim, accent or background light.

Godox S3 Bowens S-Type bracket

The included Godox S3 bracket expands the system beyond compact round-head accessories and umbrellas. The bracket is compatible with the AD100Pro II and provides a Bowens S-Type modifier fitting, allowing the flash to be paired with compatible Bowens S-Type softboxes, beauty dishes, reflectors and other modifiers.

Godox CB20 backpack

Its interior uses reconfigurable padded dividers, allowing the layout to be adapted around compact flashes, a camera body, lenses and accessories. A padded compartment accommodates a laptop or tablet up to 15 inches, while additional internal and side pockets provide storage for smaller accessories.
