Introducing the Godox MA2 Hot-Shoe Mountable Flexible Macro Twin Light. Compact and flexible, the MA02 is perfect for close-up, macro photography. Combining an LED modelling light with flash fill on the same axis, the dual flexible arms, with independent A/B light control, adjustable colour-temperature LED output, a magnetic-base diffuser, a built-in lithium battery, and USB-C charging, the MA2 gives macro photographers greater control over light at close range. Coaxial Modelling Light and Flash Fill

With the LED modelling light and flash fill positioned on the same axis, the MA2 makes it easier to preview light direction, subject illumination, and focus before taking the shot. When the flash fires, it helps bring out fine details, texture, and depth, making it a versatile macro photography light for a range of close-up subjects.

Dual Flexible Arms and Hot-Shoe Expansion

The MA2's dual flexible arms allow you to position light precisely from either side of your subject. Dual hot-shoe mounts at the ends of the arms support compact flash units, making it easier to create flexible twin-light setups for low-angle, close-to-ground, and forest-floor macro photography. The total load on each flexible arm must not exceed 90g.

A/B Dual-Channel Light-Source Control

Control the left and right light sources independently for single-sided or dual-sided fill. Adjust each light according to your subject's position, camera angle, and the look you want to create. In FLASH mode, the MA2 supports S1/S2 photocell triggering for manual flash setups, as well as TTL setups with pre-flash.

Quick-Install Magnetic Diffuser Panel

The included MA02-D Diffuser attaches to the magnetic base and is secured with snap fasteners for quick installation and removal. Fold it up or down to adjust the angle, or gently press the edges to shape the panel. For macro and close-up photography, the diffuser softens the light, reduces harsh highlights, and creates smoother shadows on reflective, textured, or delicate subjects.

Adjustable Colour-Temperature LED Continuous Light

In LED mode, the adjustable colour-temperature LED output provides 0–100% brightness and a colour-temperature range of 2800K to 6500K. Use the continuous LED light for macro video fill, focusing assistance, or precise warm-to-cool lighting control. In FLASH mode, the LED modelling lamp also supports a 2800K to 6500K colour-temperature range, allowing you to preview the lighting effect before shooting.

It operates for approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes at 100% brightness and recharges via USB-C in approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. The included USB-C charging cable makes recharging simple and convenient, whether you're shooting at home or in the field.

Optional Accessories for Expanded Close-Up Applications

Expand your macro photography setup with the MCL-250 Macro Conversion Lens, MCL-D Macro Conversion Lens-Diffuser, and MA02-DB Diffuser Box. The MCL-250 is a 2.5x macro conversion lens that fits lenses with 49–67 mm filter threads, helping compatible kit lenses achieve greater magnification for macro and close-up photography. The MCL-D and MA02-DB help soften close-up lighting for different subjects, shooting distances, and lighting requirements.
