A flexible three-light setup for professional interviews and video production
The Mid-Tier Interview Kit brings together two 150W Godox flexible LED light mats, dedicated softboxes and three air-cushioned light stands, with a compact Godox ML150Bi providing an additional controllable light source.
Designed around the practical needs of interview and video production, the kit gives you broad, soft sources for illuminating your subject, alongside a compact directional light that can be positioned for separation, background lighting or additional fill.
Both the Godox FL150S and FL150R are bi-colour 150W flexible LED mats with V-Mount battery compatibility. They can be powered from mains AC or compatible V-Mount batteries, making the setup suitable for studio work as well as location productions where mains power is less convenient. Batteries are not included.
The FL150S is paired with a 60 x 60cm softbox and grid, while the longer 30 x 120cm FL150R uses a matching strip softbox and grid. This gives you two different source shapes for shaping an interview setup.

How the kit works
FL150S — broad key or fill source
The Godox FL150S is a 60 x 60cm flexible and collapsible 150W LED mat. Its 3300K–5600K variable colour temperature makes it possible to balance the light with different ambient sources, while its flexible construction allows it to be positioned in spaces where a conventional rigid panel may be difficult to use.
The included FL-SF6060 softbox increases the apparent size of the source for softer, more even illumination. Its removable honeycomb grid reduces light spread when you need tighter control over where the light falls.
This makes the FL150S well suited to use as a main interview light or controlled fill source.
FL150R — long, narrow secondary source
The Godox FL150R provides another 150W of flexible bi-colour LED lighting in a 30 x 120cm format. Its slim, elongated shape gives you a different source profile from the FL150S, making it particularly useful when you want a longer spread of light or a narrower lighting footprint.
The matching FL-SF30120 strip softbox softens and diffuses the output, while its removable honeycomb grid helps restrict spill and maintain directional control.
The FL150R can be powered from mains AC or a compatible V-Mount battery, giving it the same location-friendly power flexibility as the FL150S.
Godox ML150Bi — compact third light
The ML150Bi adds a smaller, more directional source to the setup. Its compact design makes it easier to position where a larger mat would be impractical.
It features a 2800K–6500K colour temperature range and comes with the ML-Z zoom lens reflector, which provides a 13°–30° beam adjustment. At 5600K with the ML-Z reflector in its spot position, it can produce up to 61,054 lux at 1m.
The ML150Bi can be powered from mains or a V-Mount battery using its included ML-VMA V-Mount battery adapter. It also supports Bluetooth app control and wired DMX, giving you additional control options during production.
Three air-cushioned light stands
Three PiXAPRO 240cm air-cushioned light stands provide dedicated support for the lighting fixtures.
Each stand extends to 240cm and uses an interchangeable spigot mount. The air-cushioned design helps prevent sudden drops when adjusting the height, while the 5kg maximum load capacity provides support for a range of light and modifier combinations.

The strength of this setup is the combination of different source shapes rather than simply adding three identical lights.
The FL150S provides a broad, square source for the main interview lighting position. The FL150R's longer format gives you another way to shape and position light, while its strip softbox and grid provide controlled illumination.
The ML150Bi then fills the role of a compact, directional third source. It can be positioned independently to add separation or illuminate another part of the scene without taking up the same space as a larger LED mat.
