72mm U-LR MRC UV Camera Lens Protector Filter

The SONGRAW U-LR MRC UV 72mm is designed to protect your lens while maintaining high optical clarity. Made from SCHOTT B270 optical glass, it offers up to 99.5% visible light transmission to help preserve colour, sharpness and fine detail.

Its ultra-low reflective coating reduces surface reflectance to as low as 0.1%, helping to minimise flare and ghosting caused by the filter itself. This is particularly useful when shooting towards bright light sources, including backlit scenes and city lights at night.

A 3.5 mm ultra-slim aluminium alloy frame helps prevent vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses, while front filter threads allow compatible lens caps and lens hoods to be used normally.

Who this is for

Ideal for photographers and videographers who want everyday lens protection without compromising optical performance, particularly when working with wide-angle, telephoto or high-resolution imaging systems.

How it works / Component Breakdown

Ultra-Low Reflective Coating

The U-LR coating reduces surface reflectance to as low as 0.1%, helping suppress flare and ghosting caused by the filter itself. This can help maintain cleaner-looking images in challenging backlit conditions.

SCHOTT B270 Optical Glass

Precision-ground and polished SCHOTT B270 optical glass provides up to 99.5% visible light transmission, helping preserve colour, sharpness and fine detail.

Ultra-Slim Aluminium Frame

The 3.5 mm frame is designed to reduce the risk of vignetting when using wide-angle lenses, while maintaining an unobstructed field of view.

Protective Multi-Layer Coating

A 7H tempered coating provides resistance to scratches and everyday wear. The filter also uses multi-layer protection on both sides.

Water and Oil Repellent Surface

Hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings help repel water and oil, making droplets and fingerprints easier to wipe away.

Why choose this filter

The SONGRAW U-LR MRC UV 72mm combines lens protection with a high-transmission optical design. Its low-reflectance coating is intended to minimise additional flare and ghosting from the filter, while the slim frame makes it suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.

Ideal uses

• Everyday lens protection
• Backlit photography
• Landscape photography
• City and night photography
• Wide-angle photography
• Telephoto photography
• 4K and 8K video

FAQs

Does the filter have a visible tint?

The filter is completely clear. Any green appearance is a reflection from the coating rather than a tint in the filter glass.

Does it eliminate all lens flare?

No. The filter is designed to reduce flare caused by the filter itself. Flare originating from the optical design of the lens cannot be eliminated.

Can I still use a lens cap or hood?

The front filter threads allow compatible lens caps and lens hoods to be used normally.
